A Beautiful Day in a Welsh Valley (2021)

Hopefulness, Recovery, Positivity, Meaningfulness, Support, Independence, Transformation, Achievement... and Nature. These were all words that the staff of Ward east 18 identified as the key elements of a successful recovery. Yet, it was Nature that stuck out the most. By following the seemingly odd-one-out theme, my artwork will take you into a journey of exploration, focusing of the beauty of Wales and its' magnificent wilderness. In this radiant valley lie hidden treasures inspired by the art of the Ward east 18, and what ‘Home’ means. There is a hidden burning cave of the Welsh dragon, and a hidden house. There is also a hidden seagull... What else can you find?

Arts in Health: Connections: An Exploration of Creativity, Nature, and Identity. Gwanwyn Festival.

This is a piece of artwork of mine which was featured alongside by classmates within a hospital setting as a collaborative project between residents of a ward and ourselves.  Art is important in health settings and it can bring a lot of joy to otherwise clinical settings, and my artwork wanted to bring nature, which was a common theme that was requested, for the residents.

Please read more about this project here, which also features the process of collaborating with the residents, a virtual gallery, and the story behind the project:
